In vitro dissolution testing mimics gastric fluid (pH 1.2) and intestinal fluid (pH 6.8) to ensure the liposomes remain intact through the stomach and release the NAD+ payload in the intestine. Free NAD+ was separated from liposomal NAD+ by ultracentrifugation and both fractions were analysed by HPLC to determine the Encapsulation Efficiency.
